Summary (Plain English)
MoodNav does not collect personal data in the app. We do not run accounts, cloud databases, analytics, or crash reporting tied to you. Your mood entries and settings stay on your device.
The only time we may receive personal data is if you choose to email us at support@alteregogen.ai. In that case, we receive your email address and whatever you write so we can respond.
Who We Are & Scope
“We,” “us,” and “our” refer to AlterEgoGen, the developer of MoodNav. This policy explains how MoodNav handles information. It covers the iOS application and any directly related pages we host for support or policy information.
What We Collect (and Don’t)
In-App
- No account, no cloud. MoodNav is designed so your entries and settings remain on your device. We do not receive, store, or otherwise process your mood logs on our servers.
- No analytics or tracking from us. We do not embed third-party analytics SDKs that send us data, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
- On-device processing. If the app offers optional on-device analysis or models, those features run locally on your device. We do not receive the resulting data.
When You Email Us
If you email support@alteregogen.ai, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this information only to respond and resolve your request.
Advertising & Purchases
- Ads. If MoodNav displays ads (e.g., rewarded ads), we configure the app to avoid sending personal data to us. Any limited processing needed to show an ad (such as counting views or preventing fraud) is handled by the ad provider under their policies and your device’s privacy settings. We do not receive that data.
- Purchases. Any subscriptions or purchases are handled by the App Store. We do not receive your payment details; Apple provides us only the information needed to fulfill the purchase (e.g., product and status).
Legal Bases (EU/UK)
For users in the EU/UK, we process information in the limited case of support emails under legitimate interests (to respond to your inquiry) or, where applicable, contract (to provide the service you requested).
Retention
- On-device app data: Remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Support emails: We retain emails only as long as needed to handle your request and for reasonable recordkeeping, then delete or archive them securely.
Sharing & Transfers
- We do not sell or share your personal information.
- Vendors: If you email us, your message may be processed by our email provider(s) to deliver and store mail. We bind such providers to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
- Legal: We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to respond to lawful requests.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect support emails and any records we maintain. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we aim to minimize risk by collecting as little as possible.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. Because MoodNav does not collect in-app personal data, these rights generally apply only to information you sent us via email.
- EU/UK GDPR: Right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and data portability (as applicable).
- California (CCPA/CPRA): We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by law. You can request access or deletion of any email correspondence you sent us.
To exercise these rights, contact support@alteregogen.ai. We may need to verify your request using the email address that contacted us.
Children’s Privacy
MoodNav is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has emailed us, please contact us so we can delete that information.
How to Control or Delete Your Data
- In-app data: Delete MoodNav or its local data via iOS Settings → General → iPhone Storage → MoodNav.
- Support emails: Email us at support@alteregogen.ai to request deletion of prior correspondence.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We’ll change the “Effective” date above and post the revised version here. Material changes will be highlighted for clarity.
